About the studio

STORY
FIRST.

You already see your story. We help other people see what you have been seeing all along.

The problem

THEY’RE READING A PDF

A strong idea should not have to rely on imagination alone. We shape the visual evidence that helps the right people understand the story, remember it, and see where it can go.

You know what the opening shot looks like. You know how your lead walks into the room. You hear the music. See the world. Feel the moments where everything changes.

There’s just one problem.

The buyer, reader, executive… is not in your head.

And without you physically being in the room with them, your words have to convince an exhausted coffee-fueled reader, a time-challenged producer, a traveling executive, or a wary investor to somehow see what you see.

Greenlit Studio is built to solve that problem.

From words to proof

We turn original screenplays and books into professional proof-of-concept materials designed to make people curious enough to want more.

01 · Visual development

Make the world visible.

02 · Motion + sound

Make the tone tangible.

03 · Pitch materials

Make the idea shareable.

What we make

CINEMATIC TRAILERS. POSTERS. PITCH MATERIALS. SCENES. PILOTS. VERTICAL SERIES.

Not to replace your story. To reveal its potential.

Instead of saying, “Imagine this…” you can say: “Let me show you.”

That’s a very different pitch.

Greenlit Studio combines storytelling, filmmaking, design, traditional production tools, and modern AI filmmaking technology to create proof-of-concept work that feels intentional, professional, and true to the original story.

The Greenlit principle

THE TECHNOLOGY MAY BE NEW. THE PRINCIPLE ISN’T.

You already see your story. We help other people see what you have been seeing all along.

  • STORY FIRST.
  • HUMAN CREATIVITY THROUGHOUT.
  • TECHNOLOGY IN SERVICE OF BOTH.
  • THAT’S GREENLIT STUDIO.

Founder’s note

Built by a writer,
for storytellers.

About the founder + creative director

“I’M A WRITER,
TOO.”

So, here’s why I built Greenlit Studio. I’m a writer too. And I know what it’s like to have an entire world living in your head. Or maybe two or three worlds.

The characters. The locations. The music. The moments you know will make people lean in.

And then you send someone… a PDF.

Good luck, little PDF.

For decades, that was the deal.

Write the story. Send the script. Hope someone reads it. Hope they love it. Hope they can visualize it. Hope they send it to the next person. Hope that person says yes.

That’s an awful lot of hope.

And a lot of gatekeepers to get past.

The turning point

One day while I was working on pitch materials, I thought about the way I sold projects in my design businesses. Once clients could see an idea clearly, they understood its value differently.

Very often, the boldest designs became the ones they wanted most. That changed the way I thought about pitching stories.

What if they didn’t have to imagine it?
What if I just showed them?

The character. The world. The tone. The scene. The trailer. The pilot. Even the first episode of my series.

Things that once required a studio, a production crew, substantial financing, and months or years of production and post-production work can now be created in entirely new ways.

Not someday. Right now.

I’ve spent my career at the intersection of design, storytelling, filmmaking, and making ideas tangible.

I’ve written, directed, and produced films that screened in Harkins and AMC theaters. I’ve also built seven design businesses and learned something that’s followed me through all of it:

People understand an idea differently once they can see it.

And writers today have a new way to pitch.

You can still send the screenplay or manuscript. But now you can give someone a reason to become curious about it first.

A trailer that makes them want to know what happens. A poster that makes the project feel real. Characters they can see. A world they can enter. A pitch that starts a conversation instead of asking for a leap of imagination.

Something they can see, understand, remember, and share.

A proof of concept that makes the words on the page more enticing to read.

And most importantly

SOMETHING THEY CAN SHARE.

That’s why I built Greenlit Studio.

  • A producer can forward a trailer.
  • An author can post it.
  • A writer can put it in a pitch email.
  • Someone can show it to a partner.
  • An investor can send it to someone else.
